The Marin Women’s Commission has recognized the following women or groups as part of their initiative to recognize female role models and groups that support the success of women and girls

Celebrating Women in Rotary Event—The Event showcased the District’s first women admitted to Rotary Clubs after the US Supreme Court decision in 1987 and the first women club presidents. 

Mill Valley Film Festival – Mind the Gap Program

In 2017, MVFF committed to achieving 50/50 gender equity in films screened at the Festival by the year 2020 and in 2017 they hosted their first ever Mind the Gap Summit.

Wednesday Morning Dialogue

The group  gathers together women in the to provide an opportunity to become acquainted with each other and exchange ideas on topics of mutual interest, encourage intellectual development and help open new vistas of thought.

Center 4 Domestic Peace

For their work on protecting victims and their goal to end domestic violence.  The Center 4 Domestic Peace provides transformational services and programs that protect and enhance victim safety, and ultimately engage our community in permanent change.

Marin Women’s Commission 2018 Teen Leader of the Year—For Liza’s extensive community service and commitment to the Marin Teen Girl Conference she was awarded Teen Leader of the Year by the Marin Women’s Commission.
