We elevate women’s and girls’ voices, leadership, and lived experiences.
We conduct research and analyze data to understand and respond to issues affecting women’s safety, health, and economic security.
We provide accurate and timely information to the public and our partners.
We serve as an official advisory body to the Marin County Board of Supervisors, bringing a gender equity lens into local policymaking and programs.
We advocate for policies and program changes that strengthen equity and safety in Marin County.

We love to read and Promote Positive Role Models in Print! The Marin Women’s Commission maintains a list of books that are by women authors, are about women or have strong female lead characters. Online you can easily sort by categories such as fiction, non-fiction, history, young adult, LGBT and other categories.
